How to secure delete (wipe) files/folders
Normal deletion is not secure, even if you empty the recycle bin.When you delete a file, its contents and information about it remain on disk. Uninstall Plus makes sure deleted files are really deleted using methods which meet and exceed the U.S. Department of Defense standards for the permanent erasure of digital information.
Erasing files in this manner you can be assured that personal files, photos or confidential letters will not fall into the wrong hands.
You can wipe files/folders by:
1. right clicking them and selecting "Uninstall with Uninstall Plus" from the menu.
2. drag and drop the files/folders on the uninstall plus icon.
A wizard will lead you through the deletion of the selected file/folder
Selected the wiping method and click next to permanently remove the selected item from your computer.Erasing methods can vary from a simple reduction to 0 of all bits to methods used by U.S. Department of Defense. Select the erasing method according to the sensitivity of the file. if you want to make sure no recovery is possible erase the file with "DoD 5220.22-M".
